Requirements for Indiana 21st Century Scholars

If you are a student receiving 21st Century Scholar funds from the state of Indiana, you must meet these requirements:

  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by April 15.
  • Update or correct any errors on your FAFSA by May 15.
  • Enroll as a full-time student each semester.
  • Maintain Indiana residency.
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress as defined by the university.
  • Maintain credit completion requirements of 30-60-90-120. 
    1. Have 30 or more credit hours completed on transcript by end of first year.
    2. Have 60 or more credit hours completed on transcript by end of second year.
    3. Have 90 or more credit hours completed on transcript by end of third year.
    4. Graduate by end of fourth year.

Marian University Requirements

If you are a student who receives Marian University’s 21st Century Scholar Full-Tuition Scholarship, you must meet these requirements to maintain your scholarship:

  • Complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by April 15.
  • Update or correct any errors on your FAFSA by May 15.
  • Enroll as a full-time student each semester.
  • Maintain Indiana residency.
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress as defined by the university.
  • Maintain credit completion requirements of 30-60-90-120. 
    1. Have 30 or more credit hours completed on transcript by end of first year.
    2. Have 60 or more credit hours completed on transcript by end of second year.
    3. Have 90 or more credit hours completed on transcript by end of third year.
    4. Graduate by end of fourth year.
  • Actively participate in the Mentor to Success Program.
  • Attend at least one academic success seminar per semester.
  • Attend at least one STARR or other community service session per semester.
  • Attend at least one social outing with the Office of 21st Century Scholars per semester.
