Three Marian University education students have been named “Outstanding Future Educators” by the Indiana Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (IACTE).
The three students recognized were: Austin Hall (social studies and secondary education), Jillian Knueven (elementary education), and Tracy Thibodeau (mathematics and secondary education). These students were chosen based on their demonstrated excellence in both university coursework and K-12 field experiences, including student teaching.
Diana Cheshire, Ph.D., dean of the School of Education notes, “Ms. Knueven, Ms. Thibodeau, and Mr. Hall are models of the exemplary knowledge, skills, and caring dispositions that our graduates embody as they go out into their careers to make a difference in the lives of children and young adults.”
The students received their awards at IACTE Recognition Day banquet on Friday, April 12, 2013.
