Transfer Credits and Articulation Agreements

Marian University accepts transfer credits for courses meeting these standards:

  • Courses offered from an accredited institution where the accrediting body is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and the US Department of Education (DOE). To search CHEA and DOE approved accrediting organizations visit www.chea.org/search-accreditors.
  • Courses at the 100 level or higher.
  • Courses in which the student earned a grade of C- or higher.

The Transfer Evaluation System, or TES, is an interactive resource for course data from colleges and universities. It is an all-in-one solution to research transfer credits and course equivalencies.
The TES system is a general guide and is not a comprehensive list of all transferable courses. Their database, which includes more than 91 million courses from over 6,100 colleges is updated daily. But not all higher education institutions and courses may be available.

  • An official evaluation of your existing coursework and credits will be completed by Marian University's Office of the Registrar after you have been admitted.

At the discretion of individual schools, department, and programs, we award credit and advanced placement based on your successful performance in programs such as:
