Attire for Tryouts
Females - Shorts, Sports Bra, T-shirt, Cheer shoes, Hair pulled half-up or in a ponytail ("game ready")
Males - Shorts, T-shirt, Tennis shoes (preferably white shoes)
No Jewelry!
Tryout Requirements
Females
-
Chant(s)/Fight Song/Cadence (Taught at tryouts)

Jumps (toe touch, optional jump)

Tumbling experience preferred, but NOT REQUIRED
(You will be asked to show any tumbling skills at tryouts - cheerleading mat will be available)

High School Cheerleading and/or Gymnastics experience

At Marian, we strive to offer a safe and fun program that allows each individual the opportunity to grow as a strong individual and collegiate athlete. Our team consist of up to ten women and men who add an important aspect to our school…SPIRIT! High-school cheerleading is taken to the next level by a lot of hard work and dedication. If you love to cheer and feel that you have what it takes, Marian would love to have you as a part of the team!
Scholarships!
Scholarships are available for each individual, given he or she maintains the requirements of the cheerleading season and the financial aid package allows for the scholarship.
