GARY, Indiana - The Marian College women's basketball team traveled to IU-Northwest on Saturday night and earned a gritty 61-57 victory over the RedHawks in Gary, Indiana.
The Knights improved to 12-0 on the season and did it without the services of their leading scorer.
Junior Kristin Houck (Brownsburg, Indiana/Brownsburg) led three Knights in double figures with 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds.
Junior Megan Egenolf (Plainfield, Indiana/Plainfield) had 10 points while sophomore Anjellica Rospond (Crown Point, Indiana/Crown Point) added 10 points and nine rebounds.
Senior Jessica Carr (New Castle, Indiana/New Castle) added a game-high 14 rebounds and six points while freshman Emily Smithson (Selma, Indiana/Wapahani) had six assists.
The Knights come back to the Physical Education Center on Monday afternoon for a makeup game against the University of Saint Francis Cougars. The game was the only one of seven games postponed from December 6 when inclement weather blew through Central Indiana.
Tip-off for the only rescheduled game on the conference docket is 1 p.m.
