Memberships

Our library belongs to the Private Academic Library Network of Indiana (PALNI), comprised of twenty-three academic libraries throughout the state. The system provides sophisticated resource-sharing and library automation services to the libraries of its member institutions, who have joined PALNI in part because we believe in the power of collaboration as a mechanism for improving library services.

Hackelmeier Memorial Library is a member of the Academic Libraries of Indiana (ALI) organization, representing all academic libraries in accredited non-profit institutions of higher education in Indiana. Included among the seventy-two ALI members are major research libraries, law and medical libraries, theological school libraries, and many undergraduates libraries.

The library also belongs to the Midwest Collaborative for Library Services (MCLS), a non-profit, member-driven organization whose mission is to facilitate sharing resources and to collaborate with other organizations to benefit Michigan and Indiana libraries.

Hackelmeier Memorial Library maintains the following memberships as well: Medical Library Association, Midwest Chapter of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine, Indiana Health Sciences Library Association and the Central Indiana Health Library Consortium.
