University Welcomes Fr. Dennis Bosse, OFM

Fr. Dennis Bosse, OFM recently joined the Marian University community as chaplain and director of campus ministry; he previously worked at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church in New Orleans, where he substituted for a friar on medical leave. A Cincinnati native, Fr. Dennis became a Franciscan friar in 1984 and an ordained priest in 1990. He has previous experience serving at educational institutions; from 1990-2002 he worked at Roger Bacon High School in Cincinnati, where he taught morality and served as campus minister and director of student activities, and from 2003-07 he served as director of campus ministry for four colleges and universities in Galveston, Texas. While Fr. Dennis has enjoyed spending the last two years meeting the needs of the Franciscan community around the world—he taught Franciscan seminarians in Lahore, Pakistan, and was an associate pastor on a Navajo reservation in Chinley, Arizona—he says that he is looking forward to working in campus ministry again, especially “helping meet students’ spiritual needs as they continue to grow in faith.”
