About the Center for Catholic Stewardship

Committed to perpetuating and deepening the theology of Catholic stewardship, the Marian University Center for Catholic Stewardship teaches and promotes stewardship as a way of life both on campus and in dioceses in the United States, and throughout the world.

The Center for Catholic Stewardship is located on the campus of Marian University, a Catholic university dedicated to excellent teaching and learning in the Franciscan and liberal arts traditions, whose core values are dignity of the individual, peace and justice, reconciliation, and responsible stewardship.

Father Daniel Mahan, a priest of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, serves as executive director. Father Mahan was ordained to the priesthood in 1988 and until 2006 served as associate pastor and pastor in parishes throughout the archdiocese. He now serves full-time in stewardship ministry, presenting diocesan and regional stewardship days, clergy retreats and days of reflection, parish missions, and seminary study days. Father Mahan has served as a faculty member and the director of formation for the Institutes and Conferences of the International Catholic Stewardship Council. He is the author of More than Silver or Gold: Homilies of a Stewardship Priest, published by Saint Catherine of Siena Press.
