Recently, one of our graduates, Jeffery Steinbronn '09,made the news.
Greetings from Marian University! I hope you have been enjoying the beautiful spring weather. Our schools are in trouble. That fact is well known. Marian University has not been standing on the sidelines wringing its hands. Because we are deeply concerned about the future of our children and the Indianapolis community, we have been taking action. Since 2006, through innovative programs with Teach for America, The New Teacher Project, and others, Marian University has prepared nearly 1,000 teachers for K-12 schools. That total includes 225 talented and passionate K-12 math and science teachers. Recently, one of our graduates, Jeffery Steinbronn, made the news. I thought you would enjoy watching thestory about him that was on WISH-TV. I would be remiss if I didn’t take this opportunity to remind you that on Friday, October 19, 2012 at the J.W. Marriott we will celebrate our 75th Anniversary in Indianapolis. I hope you are able to attend this gala occasion. Generous visionaries have come together to dramatically increase Marian University's capacity to advance the economic, social, educational, and cultural vibrancy of central Indiana. I know you agree, that when our community comes together to achieve exceptional advancements towards higher expectations, innovation, action, and leadership, then we have good reason to celebrate. And, so we will. Peace and all good. President Daniel J. Elsener
