Marian University Cycling Wins Road Nationals, Team Omnium

by Michael Kubancsek | May 06, 2013

The Marian University Cycling Team won their fourth straight road national championship this weekend in Ogden, Utah, bringing the team's total of national titles to 22 and securing their spot as the top collegiate cycling team in the nation.

In a dominant performance that included team wins in all but one event, the Cycling Knights raced aggressively, passionately, and as a team to secure their title. In addition to the team title, Kaitie Antonneau (junior), Coryn Rivera (sophomore), Colton Barrett (sophomore), and the men's and women's team time trial teams won event national titles.

Combined with national championships this season in track, BMX, cyclocross, and a strong third place at MTB nationals, the team confirmed their spot at the top of the season-long Team Omnium classification.

A full race report and more photos will be forthcoming, as the team travels home from Utah. The official event race reports and photo galleries are available at www.usacycling.com.
