Alpha Mu Alpha

Since its inception in 1937, the American Marketing Association (AMA) has been committed to the advancement of excellence in the field of marketing. It's this commitment which fostered the establishment of Alpha Mu Alpha in the Spring of 1981. Alpha Mu Alpha is the national marketing honorary for qualified undergraduate, graduate and doctoral marketing students as well as marketing faculty.

Eligible students are nominated in the spring semester and are inducted in a special awards ceremony in April. Inductees receive an honorary personalized certificate, pin and cord to wear at graduation. Members are recognized in the official university commencement program.

To be eligible for the Alpha Mu Alpha Honor Society, you must:

  • Be a dues-paying member of the AMA Marian University student Chapter
  • Be nominated for membership by the AMA faculty advisor
  • Have a minimum 3.25 GPA within your major and overall at the university level
  • Have achieved senior status and have completed at least two upper-level marketing courses
Visit ama.org for details or contact Lori Rumreich, faculty advisor, for information.
