Biography

I received my Ph.D. in Addiction Neuroscience, specializing in behavioral genetics, from Purdue University at IUPUI in May, 2015, and was a postdoctoral fellow at IU School of Medicine in the Radiology and Imaging Sciences Department from 2015-18. Upon completion of my postdoctoral fellowship, I transitioned to a faculty position within the same department. My current research primarily centers upon evaluation of brain activity in non-treatment seeking alcoholics and subjects with nicotine addiction. In addition, our lab investigates the correlation between chemotherapy, brain activity, and neurocognitive functioning in breast cancer survivors. I specialize in both positron emission tomography (PET) and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI).
