Application Process

To apply, you will need to submit the following:

  • Graduate application
  • $55 application fee
  • Official transcripts from all postsecondary institutions attended
  • Official GRE scores (optional)
  • Personal statement
  • Three letters of recommendations
  • Resume

How to Apply

When you’ve decided that Marian University’s Master of Science in Counseling program is right for you, take the next step and apply for admission. There are two ways to apply to the counseling program; choose the one that best fits your individual needs and situation.

  1. For either the Clinical Mental Health or the School Counselor tracks, apply online.

  2. After applying, submit your official transcripts from all postsecondary institutions attended and three letters of recommendations to GRadmissions@marian.edu. Letters of recommendation should address your potential for success in the program; include information relevant to your academic performance, interpersonal skills, emotional maturity, and character; and be sent directly from the recommender.

  3. For those interested in the Clinical Mental Health track, you may also choose to apply via PSYCAS at https://psycas.liaisoncas.com/applicant-ux/#/login.

  4. After applying, submit your official transcripts from all postsecondary institutions attended through your PSYCAS portal.

    Submit three letters of recommendations and optional GRE scores to GRadmissions@marian.edu. Letters of recommendation should address your potential for success in the program; include information relevant to your academic performance, interpersonal skills, emotional maturity, and character; and be sent directly from the recommender.
