Tammie Huffman

Born and raised in Brownsburg, Indiana, Tammie Huffman attended Bethesda Christian High School and graduated in 1980. She furthered her education at Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Missouri studying business. During her high school and college education, she traveled with several choirs and ensembles singing and spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. Tammie has a love for the Lord and music.

After returning home from college, Tammie started her career with U.S. Airways in 1983. She spent 18 years working in the airline industry and held several positions in the airline's central reservation office (CRO) in Indianapolis, serving as reservation sales agent, queue coordinator, sales support agent, and quality assurance agent. After 9/11, the Indianapolis central reservation office closed in 2002.

“I remember watching the Today Show getting ready for work when the Twin Towers were hit by two commercial aircraft, then the Pentagon was hit while I was driving to work. A very somber day for America and for the airline industry as a whole. The news about our CRO closing came just a few weeks later. My future seemed uncertain, but God had bigger plans for me.”

Tammie Huffman has worked with the Office of Undergraduate Admission since 2007 and has held several positions, moving from administrative assistant to data coordinator. She currently serves as office coordinator for transfer and international admission.

"These employment experiences have molded me into the person I am today. I love Marian University. The faculty and staff are full of amazing people. But what makes Marian University so special to me are the students.”
