Submitting Official Transcripts

Official High School Transcripts

Marian University requires official transcripts from all secondary institutions attended. To be official, transcripts must be sent from each high school directly to Marian University via United States Postal Service (USPS) or through an electronic transcript service. Transcripts sent to you first and then shared with us are considered unofficial. Official final high school transcripts must be sent upon graduation and list the official date of graduation, if applicable.

If you have completed college credit, including credit for dual-credit courses completed during high school, College Board Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), CLEP, or other exams, request official college transcripts and exam scores for all completed coursework/exams be sent to Marian University. Once received, faculty advisors in the school or academic department offering your chosen major will evaluate the credits and determine whether they apply toward your Marian University degree program.

If you have completed your high school degree via the General Education Diploma (GED), Test Accessing Secondary Completion (TASC) or High School Equivalency Certificate (HSE) please request an official exam score report to be sent to Marian University.

Official College Transcripts

Marian University requires official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions that you have attended. To be official, transcripts must be sent from the academic institution directly to Marian University. Transcripts sent to you first and then shared with us are considered unofficial. To be final, transcripts must show degree conferral, if applicable.

If you have less than 12 transferrable credit hours from a regionally accredited institution, you are also required to request a High School, GED, TASC, or HSE transcript.

If your baccalaureate degree was earned outside the U.S, you will need to have a course-by-course evaluation of your transcript completed by one of these Department of Education supported agencies, NACES or AICE. Please contact an admission representative to ensure that the evaluation agency is approved by Marian University. The evaluation should include the U.S. equivalency, a course-by-course report, and the original transcript.

NOTE: "all transcripts" means every institution you have attended after high school, which includes single classes, transfer credits, etc.
