The program focuses on how the human body moves and functions, helping people stay active, recover from injuries, and improve their overall health. Students in this program learn about the body's systems, nutrition, and fitness while gaining hands-on skills in first aid, injury prevention, coaching, and wellness.
This degree can lead to careers in athletic training, personal training, coaching, physical education, and recreation management. It also prepares students for further education in areas like physical therapy assisting or athletic training.
The program's main goals are to provide a strong understanding of exercise science, teach practical skills for promoting health and fitness, and ensure students are prepared to help others move safely and effectively.
