Marian University's Ancilla College offers a wide variety of scholarships to help you achieve your dreams!

  • Students applying for Marian University's Ancilla College Scholarships must submit a FAFSA form.
  • Please note the deadlines for scholarships. Applications received after the deadline will not be reviewed for an award.
  • An applicant must be a full-time student to receive these scholarships.
  • Awards and dollar amounts are subject to change.

21st Century Scholars Tuition Scholarship  

Indiana’s 21st Century Scholars aren’t afraid of the hard work it requires to succeed, both academically and in life.

In return for keeping your promise to pursue academic excellence in high school, the State of Indiana will provide Hoosier students with scholarships to complete a college education.

If you are a qualifying 21st Century Scholar who desires a private university experience, Marian University offers a scholarship to 21st Century Scholars that covers tuition.

  • Each year, we provide up to 50 scholarships that cover the cost of full tuition through a combination of federal, state, and institutional financial aid for eligible 21st Century Scholars.

Application Process and Due Dates

To be eligible for our 21st Century Scholar Tuition Scholarship, you must have an offer of admission from Marian University and complete our 21st Century Scholar Tuition Scholarship application.

  • Applications for the scholarship will open August 1.
  • Complete our admission application and be admitted to Marian University before May 1.
  • Complete and submit the Marian University 21st Century Scholar Tuition Scholarship applicationbefore May 1.
  • If you meet our eligibility requirements, you will receive an acceptance form to review and sign. 
  • Funded through a combination of federal, state, and institutional financial aid, Marian's 21st Century Scholars Tuition Scholarship is renewable each year for two or four years provided you remain in good academic and social standing at the university.

Catholic University Ministry Scholarship

The Catholic Scholarship is open to high school graduates and transfer students who are active members of the Catholic Church. Marian University's Ancilla College seeks students who are passionate about their faith, motivated to share it with others and desire to grow as effective leaders amongst their peers. The scholarship award is an annual $2,000 and is renewable for one additional year.

Requirements:

  • Applicant must complete the scholarship application and provide a parish support letter.
  • Applicant must submit a FASFA with the admission application to Marian University's Ancilla College.
  • Applicant must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  • Scholars must remain full-time students and retain a 2.5 Marian University's Ancilla College GPA or greater to renew the scholarship.

Student Success Scholarship

The scholarship can be obtained by any high school graduate who has not already obtained more than 12 college credits.

The scholarship is not affected by financial need and is available to any incoming student, renewable yearly, who meets the criteria below.

Requirements:

  • Applicants must submit a FASFA with the admission application to Marian University's Ancilla College.
  • Remain in full-time status and retains a 2.5 Marian University's Ancilla College GPA or greater.

Transfer Scholarship

The Transfer Scholarship is designed to help students who want to transfer to Marian University's Ancilla College.

The transfer scholarship is designed to encourage you to continue your education at Marian University's Ancilla College after attending another college or university. It’s available to you if you have not earned a college degree, but attempted more than 12 credit hours at any college or university.

The scholarship is renewable for up to four semesters.

The Transfer Scholarship award amount is based on your earned GPA at previous schools and full-time enrollment.

Requirements:

  • The student must retain a 2.5 Marian University's Ancilla College GPA or greater.
  • Applicants must submit a FASFA with the admission application to Marian University's Ancilla College.

Transition Scholarship

After completing your associate degree at Marian University’s Ancilla College, transition to the Marian University Indianapolis campus to pursue your bachelor’s degree.

Details

The award amount for 2022 totals up to $17,750 per year,  reaching a maximum total of $35,500* over four consecutive semesters after the transition.

*Amount to vary based on cost difference between Marian University Indianapolis and Marian University’s Ancilla College.

Marian University Indianapolis Bachelor's Programs

Students who earn an associate degree at Marian University’s Ancilla College take courses needed to earn a bachelor’s degree from Marian University Indianapolis. Students seeking to continue their education seamlessly advance within Marian University and credits are accepted toward their bachelor’s degree.

Steps to Transition from Ancilla College to Marian University Indianapolis

  • Talk with your current advisor about transitioning to Marian’s Indianapolis campus.
  • Request to meet with an academic advisor of your future major.

Scan the QR code to apply directly to the Indianapolis campus.

  • Go to the Financial Aid, Business, and Student Housing Offices.
  • Sign up for a financial plan.

Marian University’s Ancilla College graduates stay at their current tuition rates for the next four contiguous semesters.

    • The director of advising will contact you regarding your new program and advisor.
Schedule a meeting with your new advisor to discuss career paths.Ask about New Student Orientation dates.

    • Schedule a meeting with your new advisor to explore classes.
Register for New Student Orientation to enroll into your classes. Events fill up quickly—don’t wait to sign up!

A few days before classes start:

  • Print your class schedule from MUHUB.
  • Go to campus, walk around, and find your future classrooms.
  • Collect your books from the bookstore in Alumni Hall.
  • Go to the police station and get your parking pass and agenda.

Valedictorian and Salutatorian Scholarship

Graduating at the top of your class often means being honored by your high school. Marian University's Ancilla College will do quite a bit more to honor your accomplishment.

Marian University's Ancilla College offers full-tuition scholarships to valedictorians. Graduates at the very top of their class can receive a scholarship for free full-time tuition, the scholarship is renewable for one year.

Students named as salutatorians by their high school will be offered up to $10,000 toward full-time enrollment at Marian University's Ancilla College, the scholarship is renewable for one year.

Requirements:

  • Applicant must complete the scholarship application and provide verification of valedictorian or salutatorian status.
  • Applicant must submit a FASFA with the admission application to Marian University's Ancilla College.
  • Scholars must be full-time students and retain a 3.0 Marian University's Ancilla College GPA or greater to renew the scholarship.

Agriculture Award

The Agriculture Award is available to high school graduates from Marshall County and its neighboring counties. Eligible candidates must be nominated by a teacher or school administrator. This award is designed to recognize students who exhibit a strong combination of academic excellence, leadership, and service in their school and community. Marian University's Ancilla College will grant a $1,000 scholarship to one student in each high school per academic year.

Requirements:

  • Applicant must apply and be accepted to Marian University's Ancilla College by April 15
  • Applicant must complete the scholarship application with a letter of recommendation from their high school official.
  • Applicants must submit the FAFSA by the April 15 deadline, ensuring they include Marian University's code, 001821.
  • Applicant must have an accumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher when submitting the application and transcripts.
  • Additional restrictions may apply.

Autism Program Scholarship

The Autism Program Scholarship is awarded to be applied to fees for the forthcoming academic year. If awarded, half of the total amount will be applied to the Fall semester and a half to Spring semester balances.

Requirements:

  • Applicant must be accepted into the Autism Program at Marian University's Ancilla College.
  • Applicant must complete the Autism Program Scholarship application and essay.
  • Applicant must submit a FASFA with the admission application to Marian University's Ancilla College.
  • Applicant must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  • Scholars must remain full-time students and retain a 2.5 Marian University's Ancilla College GPA or greater to renew the scholarship.
