The Office of Residential and Commuter Life strives to be an available resource to all students who come to Marian University’s Ancilla College. As a commuter or residential student, it is our goal to support your educational, social, informational, and aspirational needs. Being a commuter student, you have access to all services, organizations, and programs that were created to help in personal and professional exploration. With multiple opportunities for involvement and connection, we encourage commuter students to interact with us and others on campus to build life-long relationships. Although you do not live with us, we hope we can make your college journey your own.
All Marian University’s Ancilla College commuter students are encouraged to participate in the MUAC Commuter Council, which plans and implements events, activities and acknowledgement of all students who commute to campus. For more information, please email jwolfe@marian.edu or bschutz@marian.edu.
As a commuter, being aware of weather closures or delays is important. Marian University has partnered with the CampusShield app to increase your safety on and off campus. To be promptly informed of any and all campus emergencies, safety concerns and weather announcements, all students are asked to download the CampusShield app on their phones and devices. This is a free app and is available through the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. Allow location services and connect to wi-fi for the best results. Always make the best decision for your safety, as conditions vary and can change quickly.
Commuter students purchase parking passes from the Business Office.
Construction zones, severe weather, and accidents could impact your travel time. Living within a commutable distance, you may be familiar with road conditions and the unpredictability of wildlife crossings. Use caution and stay safe.
If you are on campus and need assistance with a jump or flat tire, please call 574-936-8898 Ext 4.
Download a weather app to stay up-to-date on weather. The weather often changes quickly; it is important to plan ahead of time.
If you have question, concerns, or suggestions, please email bschutz@marian.edu or jwolfe@marian.edu.
