Marian University's Ancilla College is dedicated to offering students a comprehensive educational journey. While living on campus is not mandatory at Ancilla, the residence halls at Marian University's Ancilla College provide a welcoming and supportive community that may become the highlight of your college experience. Immerse yourself in a picturesque setting that fosters intellectual growth, forge meaningful connections with peers who will both support and challenge you, delve into your faith and city exploration, and most importantly, discover your own potential on a historic campus that seamlessly blends tradition with modern amenities. Enjoy the comfort of private bathrooms in serene, well-maintained three-story residence halls equipped with fireplaces, media centers, study spaces, laundry facilities, and meditation rooms.
You will need to use your Marian email and password to log in (you will receive this information after being admitted to the university through the admissions office). Pay your $200 housing deposit here, complete your profile and application on StarRez, and create a roommate group (optional).
Whether you intend to live on or off campus for the 24-25 academic year, all new students must log-in and update their emergency contact information.
If you have questions or concerns regarding the application process, email Residential and Commuter Life at MUACHousing@marian.edu.
All new and returning students must be registered for at least 12 credit hours for the Fall 2024 semester prior to or on their move-in day to be in compliance with the university housing and residence life policies.
You may NOT move into a campus residence hall unless you are in compliance with university policies.
New Students: August 16 | Returning Students: August 17
Check your emails for more information! Some athletic teams and other groups move to campus early. If you believe you qualify for an early move-in date, please contact MUACHousing@marian.edu for more information. Check-in when you arrive on campus with KnightQuest in the Learning Commons. Once cleared at KightQuest, head over to Zirkle Commons to check in with housing and receive your room key!
If you are planning to live on campus this academic year, please be aware of these important dates!
Residence halls close for Thanksgiving, winter, and spring breaks. Students who are competing in university related athletics may be approved to stay over a particular break if requested by their coach. Students who need to stay on campus over these breaks for other reasons are required to apply to stay. Residents who apply to stay over break will get an email explicitly approving or denying their requests. Residents who are approved to stay for athletics do not need to apply individually and will still get an email approving their stay.
The application to stay over Thanksgiving break will be released in October.
The application to stay for any part or all of winter break will be released in November.
The application to stay for Spring Break will be released in the spring semester.
You will receive your housing assignment after you submit your application and pay your housing deposit. Your assignment will be sent to your Marian University email address. On-campus housing applicants with paid deposits will be assigned to rooms as follows:
Residential and Commuter Life strives to provide all students with a space to build connections and improve campus operations for the benefit of the student. As such, the office works to identify vacancies to consolidate residential spaces.
Consolidation is residential reassignment that occurs in response to a specific situation, including the following:
The expectations for this process will be communicated the 4th week of the semester and moves will start shortly thereafter. For rooms that are identified as part of the room consolidation process, multiple resolutions are available. These may include:
In the meantime, if there is a vacant space, please make sure to leave the space open for a new roommate.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact MUACHousing@marian.edu.
Note: Residential and Commuter Life (RCL) reserves the right to consolidate vacancies and/or reassign students, if necessary, for the most effective use of residential spaces. RCL will work with students involved in the consolidation process to determine the best option for them.
Additional policies related to Residential and Commuter Life for students can be found in these documents. Please familiarize yourself with them before moving in to your campus residence.
