I am a wife, mother, volleyball coach, and teacher. My volleyball career started at Knox High School and led me to High Point University in North Carolina and finishing my career at IUPUI.  Despite the lingering injury, volleyball has paved the way for my beautiful life.

Lee Becton
Former College Football Player | Running Back | Captain, University of Notre Dame | Corporate Sales Coach

Lee Becton is a former standout college football player who played as a running back for the University of Notre Dame. Known for his powerful running style, agility, and leadership, Becton served as the captain of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team. His ability to lead by example on the field and motivate his teammates helped elevate Notre Dame’s performance during his tenure.

Throughout his college career, Becton earned recognition for his explosive plays and ability to power through defenders. His leadership not only guided his team to several key victories but also fostered a culture of discipline, teamwork, and resilience. The lessons he learned on the football field—such as strategic thinking, perseverance under pressure, and effective communication—have been instrumental in shaping his approach to leadership and professional growth.

After transitioning from football, Becton leveraged the skills and mindset he honed as a team captain into his current role as a Corporate Sales Coach. Today, he helps businesses and individuals build high-performing sales teams by instilling the same principles of leadership, teamwork, and strategic planning that made him successful on the football field. His unique background as both an athlete and coach allows him to connect with clients on a deep level, providing them with practical tools to overcome challenges, work cohesively, and achieve their goals.

Becton’s journey from football star to corporate coach showcases how the leadership, discipline, and teamwork essential in sports can also drive success in the business world.

  • BA in Psychology and MSA from the University of Notre Dame
  • Certified as a Mental Game Coaching Professional, Certified Mental Game Instructor and Certified Mental Game Coach
  • Five years working as a Mental Game Coach working with a variety of athletic teams and individuals in a number of different sports.  I also work in the corporate environment to integrate the mental game into the culture of the organization.

We face many mental game challenges on the playing field.  Among those are - Playing tentative, Playing too tight or anxious, losing confidence when not playing well, struggle to recover from mistakes or other distractions, or have difficulty in taking our practice game to competition.

Through mental fitness training we can learn skills to help us understand how our mind influences performance. We can learn practical skills and strategies and understand how to apply those mental strategies to help perform our best in competition, improve practice efficiency and focus, and take our practice game to competition successfully.  These skills can be applied off of the playing field, as well, to help us in any Performance situations.
