In 1851, the Sisters of St. Francis founded what is now Marian University, which is considered a top university in Indiana. Our History

Marian was originally known as St. Francis Normal. This school eventually merged with Immaculate Conception Junior College to create a four-year college. In 1954, they became the first co-educational Catholic college in Indiana. By 2009, Marian College had become Marian University.
