Students love when packages from home arrive. Wondering how to send a package to your student? We are sharing our tips below.
A care package is fun mail for students to let them know that you are thinking about them. It can be a great way to reach out to a student if they are having a stressful week or missing home. It's also a great way to let your student know you are thinking about them.
What should I put in a care package?
The possibilities are endless, but I recommend:
- your student's favorite non-perishable snacks.
- a note or card letting your student know you are thinking of them.
- de-stressors are fun—Play-Doh, bubbles, and stickers are fun for college students.
- essentials your student may need, such as toiletries or laundry detergent.
Where do I send the care package?
All packages or mail for students should be addressed as such:
“Student Name”
3200 Cold Spring Rd
“Dorm Name and Number” (example: Doyle Hall 100)
Indianapolis, IN 46222
How will my student receive their care package?
When students have a package, they will receive an email either from the Mailroom or Pack City. If they receive an email from the Mailroom, students will receive instructions on setting up a time to pick up their package. If they receive an email from Pack City, students will receive a barcode to scan at the mail lockers and can pick up their package any time.
