If road conditions are hazardous and the university has not closed or canceled classes, faculty members should make decisions on an individual basis. It is, however, up to the faculty member to contact students to advise them of cancellation. If students are concerned about commuting to class in extreme weather conditions, those students should use their best judgment and notify their professor if unable to attend class.

Calls to the campus operator are discouraged due to the limitations inherent in handling hundreds of incoming calls.
