Know Your Rights

Immigrants who live, learn, and work in the United States have basic rights. The National Immigration Law Center is a great resource for learning the facts about access to higher education, including current state laws and policies for immigrants. Additionally, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) offers helpful information through its Know Your Rights pamphlets. Another helpful site is "Directing International Students and Scholars to Resources on their Rights in Encounters with Law Enforcement" compiled by NAFSA: Association of International Educators.
