Additional Campus Resources

Marian University is dedicated to providing an education distinguished in its ability to prepare transformative leaders for service to the world. Some of our campus support systems include:

  • Peer Tutoring Program: This program enables you to receive tutoring by academically exceptional students recommended by their professors. You can drop in for as little or as long as you would like.
  • Center for Academic Success and Engagement (CASE): The center can help improve your time management, test-taking skills, and study habits. CASE’s staff can help you to develop strategies for more academic structure and monitor your progress.
  • Student Success Seminars: These are offered throughout the semester to help students better understand learning styles and to help develop strong critical thinking skills.
  • Counseling: Transitioning from high school, being away from home, living in a residence hall with a roommate, and generally adjusting to the freedoms and responsibilities of college life can be challenging. We offer free counseling sessions through our Office of Counseling and Consultation Services.

Accommodation/Accessibility Statement Syllabus Policy

Marian University, through policy and practice, is committed to providing equitable access to learning opportunities for all students. If you experience, or anticipate experiencing, barriers to your education due to a disability please contact the Personalized Learning Center plc@marian.edu to start a conversation.

Although a student may request an accommodation at any time, it is best to initiate the accommodation process as early as possible as it may take time to complete the interactive process and accommodations will not be implemented retroactively. If a reasonable accommodation is determined, a Course Accommodation Letter will be created at the Personalized Learning Center for the student to provide to their faculty members with information related to their accommodations. Faculty will not set up disability-related accommodations without a current semester Course Accommodation Letter.

Faculty, Staff or Student questions or concerns regarding the accommodation process can be sent to plc@marian.edu.
