What Should I Pack?

Here is a list of items to bring with you and items to leave at home. When you receive your roommate's contact information, it's a good idea to connect with your roommate so you can discuss what each of you plan to bring to campus.

Painters tape and 3M products are the preferred products to use to hang items in your room. Any damage caused to walls will incur a monetary fine based on the extent of the damage.

  • Refrigerator (4.3 cubic feet or less)

  • Tools (basic)

  • Umbrella

  • Air fryers
  • Candles/Wax warmers
  • Coffee maker w/open heat source
  • Crock pots
  • Darts/dart boards
  • Expensive jewelry* 
  • Extension cords
  • Firearms, weapons, or fireworks
  • George Foreman and other grills
  • Heirlooms*
  • Hot plates
  • Large refrigerators
  • Large stereos
  • Lava lamps
  • Lighters
  • Nails for walls
  • Pets (only fish allowed)
  • Space heaters
  • Toasters and toaster/convection ovens
*While these are not policy violations, we do not recommend bringing things to campus that are irreplaceable.
