his sometimes occurs when your browser, in an attempt to be “helpful” calls up old information. Try clearing your browser’s cache directions:
PC - community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-10707-67952720331
Mac - community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-10708-67952720330
Then restart your computer, and try logging in.
If that doesn’t help, go to marian.edu and select OFFICES and SERVICES at the top right. Then click on My Marian and try to log at "Single Sign On and Login". If you are not able to login, click on the Reset My Password option below the login boxes and change your password. This will change the password for all your portals (Email, MU-HUB and Canvas) as well as wireless connections on campus.
If you are able to log into the Single Sign On system but not Canvas, please verify the URL you are using for your Canvas login. It should be marian.instructure.com.
At MU we use our own authentication system so if you still cannot log in to either Canvas or the Single Sign On portal, you will need to contact the IT helpdesk by either sending an email to helpdesk@marian.edu or by calling 317-955-6444.
Before you try to download and install the Lockdown Browser, restart your computer and then make sure no other programs are open. Then use these links, which will download a version connected to MU's Canvas site.
To download the PC version of the browser go to: respondus.com/lockdown/download.php?id=387943543
To download the Mac version go to: respondus.com/lockdown/download.php?id=387943543
Once you’ve installed the software, open it and make sure it opens with the login to MU’s Canvas.
When you go to use the browser, again restart your computer and make sure no other programs are running before trying to open and use it.
If you experience difficulties maintaining a connection you may need to try to find a location with more reliable Internet or simply try to take your test at a different time of day when the connections may not be as busy.
