With two bachelor's degree programs, the primary focus of the Department of Performing Arts at Marian University is music education and music performance:

As a music student on our campus, you'll be challenged academically and work hard accomplish more than you ever thought possible. We will give you a stage on which you can step up, find your voice, and sing out!

  • You will perfect your instrumental or vocal skills, performance talents, and be encouraged to get involved on campus. You'll learn important values and build real-world skills like good communication, creative problem-solving, critical thinking, and leadership.
  • You'll also have opportunities to complete short-term or semester-based study-abroad courses and engage in community service projects.

  • Did you know Indianapolis is the marching band and show choir capital of the nation? Marian University is the only university in the area that offers you both a collegiate show choir and a competition-style marching band.
