Career Applications in Psychological Sciences

The average American will hold about seven jobs during their career, so today’s graduates must have the adaptive skills for an ever-changing work environment. Psychology students acquire vital professional skills including advanced critical thinking, speaking, writing, and computer competency as they engage in complex problem-solving and organizational tasks.

Internships, individualized for the students’ interest and professional goals, provide practical experience. Majors also have the opportunity to develop leadership roles in department, college, and university activities. The psychology club offers opportunities to engage in community service projects, shadow employed alumni, and form strong departmental bonds.
