Brian Skinner, PharmD, BCPS

Biography

Brian Skinner, PharmD, BCPS joined the clinical faculty as an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine in June 2019. Dr. Skinner earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Butler University in 2015. Along with attaining his degree, Dr. Skinner completed the Medical Spanish Track at Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana. Subsequently, Dr. Skinner completed his residency training at St. Vincent Hospital Indianapolis. After completion of his residency, Dr. Skinner worked at Manchester University's College of Pharmacy where he concurrently served as one of the Internal Medicine Pharmacy Clinical Specialists at St. Vincent Hospital Indianapolis. At St. Vincent, Dr. Skinner provided education and training to a variety of learners including pharmacy students, MD/DO students, and medical residents. Dr. Skinner is certified by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties as a Pharmacotherapy Specialist. At Marian, Dr. Skinner provides pharmacology lectures to students enrolled in both the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program and the Master's of Biomedical Sciences program that bridge the gap between foundational science and clinical practice. 

Dr. Skinner's personal hobbies include collecting pharmacy antiques, playing piano, and spending time with his wife and daughter, along with their 4 cats and 2 dogs.
