Dr. Bell has over a decade of experience working in higher education. Her higher education experience includes academic advising, orientation and first- year experiences, and disability support services. Before coming to Marian, Dr. Bell worked in the Disability Resource Center at Purdue University, where she served as an Access Consultant for the College of Science and Engineering. Dr. Bell also held positions at Eastern Michigan University, University of Michigan-Dearborn, and Eastern Michigan University.
In addition to her work as Disability Service Professional, Dr. Bell has served as a Dissertation Committee Member for PhD Candidates studying the experiences of collegians with disabilities. She also has published articles and presented her research focusing on the experiences of the disabled in higher education at The Association for the Study for Higher Education (ASHE), and the Association of Higher Education and Disability.
