Dr. Rumreich joined Marian University in 2004 and currently serves as an Associate Professor of Marketing and Sales, Director of the Professional Selling Program, and Chair of the department of Marketing and Business Analytics.
In 2004-2005, she led the business school through its first national accreditation process. In 2006, she redesigned the marketing curriculum, adding new courses in digital marketing, global marketing, social media, and visual design, and has continued to modernize existing courses with digital content and technologies. She has coached students to Top 10 national finishes numerous times in the National Student Advertising Competition, the American Marketing Association Case Competition, and various other social media and digital marketing events. Dr. Rumreich has received several awards for excellence in teaching, including being named one of the Top 50 Undergraduate Business Professors by Poets & Quants in 2022.
In 2019 she developed and launched a professional selling program consisting of four courses and resulting in industry-recognized certifications for her students. She has led her students to three first place national titles since 2020 at the IU National Team Selling Competition, a first place individual title at the 2024 AMA Collegiate Conference Role Play Competition, and has coached numerous student national finalists and regional champions at selling competitions throughout the country.
Dr. Rumreich’s sales expertise has been widely acknowledged. The Marian University program has been named a Top Selling Program for five years in a row by the Sales Education Foundation (SEF) and it is listed in its publication of top sales programs. Dr. Rumreich has prepared and delivered presentations on her sales program design and assessment processes at nationally recognized conferences, including the AMA International Collegiate Conference in 2023. She was named as part of the Top 1% of Sales Coaches by RNMRKS in 2023.
She has served as an associate faculty at the IU Kelley School of Business – Indianapolis. As a result of her expertise in high value mergers and acquisitions, she created an Effective Negotiations course for the school, teaching it for seven years.
Prior to joining Marian University, Dr. Rumreich held a variety of leadership positions in Marketing, Sales, and Global Business Strategy for 15 years at Roche Diagnostics. While at Roche she represented the US business on the global M&A team, including an $18B acquisition, managed the market research and strategic planning functions, led the project launch of a multi-million dollar laboratory diagnostics analyzer, created and led an inside sales team in three states, among other experiences. She left Roche to develop and lead a joint venture between GE Medical Systems and the IU School of Medicine, Department of Radiology. During that time, she and a partner were early innovators in artificial intelligence, co-founding a tech start-up to automate medical reporting though a limited language model and raising over $2M in venture funds. They placed 1st and 2nd in two national start-up business plan competitions, and obtained several patents.
Dr. Rumreich possesses expertise spanning industries such as medical devices, molecular biology, clinical diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, and other life sciences. Her business expertise includes professional selling, team-based selling, marketing, CRM, digital media, using artificial intelligence in marketing and the digital content supply chain, analytics, strategic planning, and organizational leadership.
