Fraternitas: The Brotherhood of Fathers

NEXT EVENT: Northside Fraternitas House Breakfast Program

March 28th, 6:30-8:30am, Half Liter, 5301 Winthrop Ave

Please RSVP by March 26th

Our theme for this event will be "Truth in Family Life."

Our featured speaker will be Greg Mark, a devoted St. Luke parishioner, who was blinded at 25 in a devastating car crash but embraced his suffering as a path to deeper faith and trust in God's plan. A loving husband, father, and servant of Christ, he has dedicated his life to inspiring others, sharing the hope of salvation, and proclaiming that "everything good comes from God”.

Come experience the Way, Truth and Life as we Pray, Learn and Discuss together how we can pass on our Catholic faith to our families.

Fraternitas Houses strengthen fathers together in faith.

Many Dads feel unprepared or ill-equipped to pass on their Catholic Faith to their children.

  • 56% of Catholic teenagers report never conversing about faith with their fathers.
  • Parents are overwhelmed by the challenges they face from Society and Social Media.
  • There are a lack of Catholic resources for Fathers.

The faith of Catholic fathers is powerfully determinative of the future faith of their children.

  • Small incremental change now will result in a positive outcome in the future.
  • Children raised believing in God have better mental health and less risk of mental disorders and substance abuse as teenagers.
  • If Fathers do not directly engage their children in their faith lives, it is improbable that they will claim Christianity as their own when grown.

Men will become the Fathers God has called them to be and to pass on their faith to their children

  • Fraternitas Houses will meet dads where they are already active (parish/schools) to build a supportive community and empower them to build habits for the household through plug and play resources.

  • Fraternitas App will provide an interactive platform for fathers to build habits through gamification, connect with other fathers, continue learning about their faith through compelling resources, and develop age-appropriate ways to engage the common questions children ask.

  • Fraternitas Camp will empower fathers, joined by their children, to have faith-filled conversations, have experiences together that will create memories that last a lifetime and develop a brotherhood of fathers among other men.
