Spend the weekend with your favorite Knight during Family Weekend 2024!

We want every family to feel included, so we offer both free events and events with an associated cost. Registration is only needed for events that have an associated cost.

Friday, September 13

Come and “have a ball” with the Marian University community at Victory Field with Baseball and Boom!  Our Marian section allows you to mingle and connect with MU families, faculty, and staff.

To purchase game tickets for $12 in the MU section click here. Family members should purchase tickets for themselves and their student. Parking downtown and food are available at an additional cost.  The game concludes with a fireworks display.

Saturday, September 14

Marian vs. Cumberland University (TN) Soccer
Location: Ascension St. Vincent Field
Noon - 2 pm

• Come cheer on the incredibly talented Women’s Soccer Team as they take on Cumberland University.
• General Admission: $8, MU students and children under 5 free.

Marian vs. Goshen Tennis Match
Location: MU Tennis Courts
1 pm - 3 pm

• Bring your best-supporting GAME as Marian University’s Women’s Tennis team is SET to take on Goshen College in this MATCH.   This is a free event.

Family Game “Knight”
Location: The Quad
2 pm - 5 pm

• Facepainting, inflatables, and outdoor games are available for you and your family!   Join us for fun on the quad for this free event. Food is available for purchase.

Tailgating
Location: Amphitheatre Lot
2 pm - 6 pm

• Don’t miss food trucks, music, and fun at this year’s tailgate!  Whether you purchase a tailgating pass or just enjoy the experience, this is one event you don’t want to miss!
• Single-game tailgating parking passes are available for purchase and are subject to limited availability. Once purchased, you will receive an assigned space number and a tailgate pass sent via email before game day.  Drivers must display the parking pass to access lots.   Glass bottles, staked tents, charcoal grills, fire pits, and kegs are prohibited. A typical size tent is 10 x 10. Tailgate lots open at 2 pm and there is no overnight parking.

Campus Tours
Location: Departing from Stokely Mansion
3 pm and 4 pm

• Venture out with Ambassadors from the Office of Admission for a campus tour. This is a free event.

Knightro’s Alley
Location: The Quad
3 pm - 5 pm

• Gather your loved ones and join us in Knightro’s Alley for family-friendly activities, highlighting our incredible academic programs and amazing student success resources.   Knightro’s Alley has something for everyone and is a free event.

Family Mass
Location: Bishop Chartrand Memorial Chapel
4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

• Join us as we celebrate Family Mass. This is a free event.

Marian vs. Concordia University (Michigan) Football Game
Location: Ascension St. Vincent Field
6:05 pm

• Get ready for an epic home opener as the Marian Knights take on Concordia University.   Kick-off is at 6:05 pm.   
• Register in advance for a reduced rate of $8. Tickets will be emailed in advance.
• General Admission at the gate: $10
• Reserved Seating: $12
• MU students and children under 5 free
• This is a ticketed event. Note: students can access the game for free with their student ID.   MU students do NOT need to purchase a ticket.

Champion Zone
Location: Ascension St. Vincent Field

• Enhance your game day experience with access to Marian University’s Champion Zone! Meet Marian families under our covered tent located near the end zone.   Large screens ensure you never miss a moment of the big game.   
• The Champion Zone is open before kick-off and throughout the game. 
• Champion Zone Admission (over 21): $35
• Champion Zone Admission (under 21): $20

Fireworks
Location: Ascension St. Vincent Field
At the conclusion of the football game

• Help us celebrate the end of a fun day with fireworks!   This is a free event. 

Ideas to Enhance Your Family Weekend Experience

• Family Tours
  Ask your student to take you on a tour of their favorite places on campus. See where your student studies or their favorite place to relax.
• EcoLab Tours
  Did you know that Marian University is the home of the Nina Pulliam EcoLab?
• Brunch in the Dining Commons
  Meet your student’s friends and their families with brunch in the Dining Commons. Ask your student to invite friends whose parents were unable to attend the weekend’s festivities. The Dining Commons is open for brunch on Saturday, September 14 from 11 am - 2 pm.

Parking: On-campus parking is available for $10. Free parking available at the 30th Street Lot.
