2025 Founder’s Classic Foursomes and Sponsorships

Each year, the Marian University Founders Classic honors individuals or a group who has helped make the university what it is today. In honor of the five-year anniversary of the E.S. Witchger School of Engineering’s launch, this year’s event honors the Witchger Family and Betty Wolf Witchger for their commitment to faith, family, and Catholic education.

Founders Classic Honorees

Witchger Family

In honor of the five-year anniversary of the E.S. Witchger School of Engineering’s launch, Marian University is proud to honor the Witchger family for their commitment to faith, family, and Catholic education. E.S. Witchger and Betty Wolf Witchger, the family’s patriarch and matriarch, set an example of responsible stewardship that the Witchger family continues to follow.

Special recognition will be given to the “Witchger Women” and their matriarch, Betty Wolf Witchger, who led the family until her passing in 1987. The Betty Wolf Witchger Endowed Scholarship was created by her four granddaughters—Therese Carender, Mary Clency, Kathryn Mayer, and Colleen Witchger-Furey—to support female engineering students at Marian University.
