2024 Founder’s Classic Foursomes and Sponsorships
Each year, the Marian University Founders Classic honors individuals or a group who has helped make the university what it is today. This year’s event honors Marian's First Lady Beth Elsener, Patti Curran, and Denise Feser '77, and are accepting this honor on behalf of the Women of Marian Society which they helped establish in 2019.

Beth Elsener has served as First Lady of Marian University since 2001. Together, with her husband, Marian University President Dan Elsener, Beth has been an integral piece of Marian’s growth and they have established the Elsener Family Scholarship.
Patti Curran has served as one of Marian University’s most loyal community advocates. She served as chairwoman of the Riverdale Colonnade Garden Renovation and together with her late husband, Bill Curran, established the Curran Family Scholarship.
Denise Feser ’77, BA, Liberal Arts. Denise served on Marian’s Board of Trustees from July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2024, making her the first female board chair in Marian history. With her family, she has established the Brennan-Feser Family Scholarship.

The Sisters of St. Francis, Oldenburg, Indiana moved Marian College to Indianapolis in 1937 and have laid the foundation of Franciscan sponsorship values that guides Marian University today. This remarkable group of women have ministered to thousands of students throughout the Midwest and beyond.

Cost: $2,200 per foursome. Each player receives welcome gift, lunch, golf, complimentary on course beverage and snack cart, prize for playing, one raffle ticket.
*While gifts are tax deductible, the fair-market value for each golfer is $200.
Proceeds for the event will support the Women of Marian Endowed Scholarships for Marian University women students.
Receiving a Marian athletic scholarship meant that all my years of hard work paid off. Not only was I able to continue to play the sport I love in college, but alongside it I was able to further my education. This opportunity put me in a position to chase after dreams bigger than those I had on the field.
