Planned Giving

Often, our final gift is our most impactful. Your planned gift to Marian University will leave a lasting legacy by developing transformational leaders who serve the world for generations to come.

You can fund endowed scholarships and programs through several gift types, and giving opportunities can be tailored to meet your needs.

Please consult your legal or financial advisor to determine which gift options are best for you to increase income, reduce or eliminate capital gains tax, reduce estate or gift taxes, or allow for charitable income tax deductions.

We hope you will notify us of your intent to give so we can recognize you as a Heritage of St. Francis Society member.

A bequest is one of the easiest gifts you can make. Leave a gift—either a set $ amount or a % of your estate—in your will or estate plans to Marian University. Consider the following language:

I hereby give, devise, and bequeath _________ (enter dollars or % of estate) to Marian University, a nonprofit organization located at 3200 Cold Spring Rd., Indianapolis, IN, 46222, Federal Tax ID #35-0868175, for Marian University's general use and purpose.

A charitable gift annuity is a great way to make a gift to our organization and benefit. You transfer your cash or property to Marian University, and we make fixed payments to you for life at a rate based on your age.

Are you 72 years or older? If so, a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) may be an excellent option for you. You may be able to exclude the distribution of up to $100,000 from your taxed ordinary income. These disbursements must be sent directly to Marian University from your plan administrator. Marian University’s EIN is 35-0868175. Please mail checks to:
