The Chris Lytle Foundation, in partnership with Marian’s Adult Programs (MAP) at Marian University, will host a free carnival-style fundraiser at the Indy Cycloplex, home of the Major Taylor Velodrome. This event, the culmination of a class project by MAP students, will take place from noon to 4 p.m. August 5, 2017.
This free admission event will include celebrity guest appearances, silent auction, and raffle items from the Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Fever, the Indy Eleven, and fighters from Ultimate Fighting Championship and Mixed Martial Arts. Hometown heroes from the Indianapolis Fire Department, local Police Departments, and the Indiana National Guard will also be in attendance. The Indiana National Guard will run an obstacle course for those seeking a physical challenge. Attendees of all ages may explore rescue vehicles on premises with a hands-on investigation.
Activities include carnival games, bounce houses, dunk tank, food trucks, and a vendor fair consisting of local businesses, community non-profits, and city resources. Businesses who wish to participate should contact Terry DeBruhl at 317-224-6167 to reserve space.
Proceeds and donations go to The Chris Lytle Foundation in support of their mission spread awareness and stop bullying. Chris “Lights Out” Lytle is a retired UFC champion who encourages children and adults to stand up for others and put the “lights out” on bullying.
This event is sponsored in part by Marian’s Adult Programs. For information on Marian’s Adult Programs, visit www.marian.edu/MAP. For questions regarding The Chris Lytle Foundation Fundraiser, contact Lauren Davis at 317-903-7581, or email her at ldavis051@marian.edu.
