INDIANAPOLIS — Elizabeth Osika, Ph.D. has been promoted to assistant provost for teaching and learning at Marian University. Osika has served as the director of Marian’s Center for Teaching and Learning since January 2017. Her promotion is effective August 15, 2019.
In her new role, Osika will have responsibility for the leadership and oversight necessary to continually improve the learning experience for Marian University students, cultivate academic excellence at the university, and support the attainment of the strategic academic goals of the Provost’s Office and university. She will report to Alan Silva, Ph.D., provost.
“Dr. Osika has masterfully supported faculty during her time at Marian,” Silva said. “In her new role, Liz will continue to direct the CTL but will have expanded authority to partner with faculty, deans, committees, and programs to create and institute the training, support, and resources necessary to develop learning experiences that allow students to obtain and embody the university’s learning outcomes.”

Osika earned a B.A. in Business Administration from University of Illinois, a M.A. in Labor and Industrial Relations/Human Resources from University of Illinois, a M.S. in Instructional Design from Purdue University, and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Purdue University.
