The Executive Director for Marian University’s Walker Center for Applied Ethics, Elizabeth A. Coit, has been appointed to the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics (APPE) Board of Directors. APPE is an international organization of over 2000 professionals from around the world dedicated to advancing scholarship, education, and practice in practical and professional ethics.
Coit is one of three new members elected to the fourteen-person international Board and will serve a three-year term. As a Board member, Coit will lead the APPE and its members in seeking innovative, collaborative, and interdisciplinary approaches to today’s ethical dilemmas and embedding the practice of ethics and ethical decision-making into all aspects of society.
