Third-year Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine Student, Nancy (Shiro) Githere, was awarded the American Osteopathic Foundation William G. Anderson, DO, Minority Scholarship!
The annual $10,000 scholarship recognizes today’s minority medical students on their way to becoming tomorrow’s doctors committed to a lifelong pursuit to eliminate healthcare disparities and enhance patient-centered care.
The award was named after William G. Anderson, DO, who was the first African American to serve as a member of the American Osteopathic Association and was board chair from 1994 to 1995.
