Here’s a look at Marian University’s “Top 10” Best of 2022!

Let’s take a walk down 2022’s “memory lane” and check out Marian University’s many highlighted accomplishments to cheer about. And with that said, here’s the envelope with Marian University’s top 10 best as we closed out 2022. 

1.Journey to 2030 half billion dollar campaign: Driven by innovation, quality and swift acts of courage, Marian University’s Journey to 2030: Always Forward plan will help secure a better future for Marian and our students. 2. Kenith Britt, Ph.D. is named to the newly-created chief operating officer and chancellor of Indianapolis campus. His promotion is part of Marian University’s plan to strengthen its organizational structure. Read more about Dr. Britt’s appointment and what it means for Marian University.

3. E. S. Witchger School of Engineering claims the third spot. In fall of 2022, the first E. S. Witchger School of Engineering students started classes at Marian University’s Indianapolis campus. After a busy year of recruiting talented faculty and students, Marian’s engineering program is off to an incredible start and looking ahead to the engineering building opening this upcoming summer 2023.

4. The first class of Marian University Ancilla College students graduated in May 2022.  Some are continuing their education at Marian’s Indianapolis campus to pursue their bachelor’s degrees.

5. At the halfway mark, Marian University Launches New K-12 Private School: MU Prep offering flexible, faith-focused learning across Indiana. MU Prep opened in August 2022 and provides a learning module that blends the best of virtual instruction and face-to-face engagement grounded and guided by faith.

6. Some exciting news here as Marian University is named #2 in social mobility in the doctoral/professional category by U.S. News and World Report. That means we are fulfilling our strategic vision to provide students from all backgrounds and zip codes access to a high-quality education.

7. One look at them takes your breath away. They are the new stained-glass windows in Marian University’s St. Joseph Chapel attached to Caito-Wagner Hall. The beautiful windows land at spot number seven.

9. The Marian Knights football team has a new, but familiar face as football coach. Ted Karras Jr is returning home to Marian University after he coached the team in 2011 and 2012! Read more about Coach Karras here.

 10. And last, but certainly not least, almost 160 future doctors of osteopathic medicine students from Marian University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine (MU-COM) have graduated its sixth class of doctors with 64 percent beginning residencies in primary care.
