The Marian University Art Gallery is pleased to host the 2023 Alliance for Young Artists and Writers: Scholastic Art and Writing Gold Key Exhibition and Award Ceremonies. This exhibition will showcase over 90 Central Indiana Gold Key Art and Writing Award winners from 28 categories—including architecture, painting, flash fiction, poetry, printmaking, science fiction & fantasy, and more.
The Scholastic Art and Writing Award exhibition will be on display in the MUAG located in the College of Osteopathic Medicine, and the MUAG located in Marian Hall until tomorrow – March 24, 2023. The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards Ceremonies took place on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at the Marian Hall Theater.
Presented by nonprofit organization Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, the 100th Scholastic Art & Writing Awards are the country's longest-running and most prestigious scholarship and recognition program for creative students in grades 7–12. Since the program’s founding in 1923, the Awards have fostered the creativity and talent of millions of students and include a distinguished list of alumni such as Tschabalala Self, Stephen King, Kay WalkingStick, Charles White, Joyce Carol Oates, and Andy Warhol, all of whom received recognition in the Awards when they were teens.
MUAG (Evans Center) is located on the north end of the second floor of the College of Osteopathic Medicine on the Marian University campus, and MUAG (Marian Hall) is located on the northeast end of the second floor of Marian Hall on the Marian University campus.
