Marian University Alumnus Ryan Bernhardt '08 is shining bright at Biosero, an Indianapolis laboratory software and automation solutions developer. He was recently named the company's Chief Executive Officer.
Bernhardt '08 joined Biosero in 2021 with more than 15 years of experience in the laboratory automation field. As Chief Commercial Officer, he led Biosero's sales, marketing, customer success, applications, and business development teams. He created new opportunities through strategic partnerships, collaborations, and commercial agreements.
"Marian University provided me with a transformative education that prepared me to be a leader in both my profession and life, " said Bernhardt '08. "Marian taught and instilled another level of discipline and growth as a student-athlete focused on hard work, success, honor, respect, and dignity."
"He was an outstanding chemistry student in 2008, and we are very proud of him and his accomplishments," said Carl Lecher, Ph.D., Anthony J. Kriech Endowed Professor of Chemistry. Dr. Lecher and Chemistry professor Rod Macrae, Ph.D., served as Bernhadt's '08 research advisors and mentors.
Bernhardt '08 added he is grateful to Marian for shaping him into the leader he is today. "The value of having a great education established on the life of Jesus Christ equipped me with the foundation I needed to go into the world as a leader, ready to serve and make a positive impact on the people, and organizations that I encounter along my life's journey," he said.
Before his work at Biosero, Bernhardt '08 also served as the Global Discovery Automation Research and Technologies Group Leader at Eli Lilly. Congratulations Ryan!
