Indianapolis Campus Sets Record Enrollment for Bachelor’s and Associate Degree Programs, Earns Top Three Private Institutions Ranking
Marian University’s fall 2023-24 enrollment marks a historic milestone with its largest-ever first-year class. This remarkable achievement includes a notable 25 percent increase in the number of students pursuing both bachelor’s and associate degrees on the Indianapolis campus, including Marian University’s Saint Joseph’s College.
Marian University has also earned recognition in the 2024 Best Colleges rankings by the U.S. News & World Report as one of the top three private institutions in Indiana.
Nearly half of Marian University’s incoming class boasts an impressive average GPA of 3.7 or higher, displaying their academic excellence. These new students come from a diverse array of backgrounds, hailing from 18 states and 13 countries. As part of our strategic commitment toward graduating more diverse, career-ready leaders, Marian University experienced a 41 percent rise in Latino student enrollment this year.
”By achieving the largest-ever first-year class and significant growth in students pursuing bachelor’s and associate degrees, Marian University’s enrollment underscores our unwavering commitment to enhancing access to a high-quality education,” said Kenith Britt, chief operating officer and chancellor. “The impressive incoming GPA further reflects the university’s dedication to academic excellence and preparing students for success.”
Contributing to the growth in undergraduate programs is an increase in the number of students enrolled in Nursing, Psychology and Engineering. The Leighton School of Nursing, Marian's largest undergraduate program, increased enrollment by over 50 percent while other nursing schools across the country reported a 10 percent decline.
Marian University currently serves over 5,000 students across undergraduate and graduate programs at multiple campus locations and online.
