Marian University Alumna to discuss the impact of Sustainability efforts

Congratulations to Marian University Alumna Jessica Davis '10, who will Jessica Davisdiscuss the impact of sustainability efforts and climate change at Marian University's Hackelmeier Memorial Library Auditorium next month. Davis, who is the assistant vice president and chief sustainability officer at Indiana University, will outline what is described as the triple bottom line of the plan: the financial, social, and environmental returns of sustainability efforts.

"Sustainability is the ultimate solution to the biggest global problems we have today—climate change, hunger, the energy crisis, water scarcity, poverty, antibiotic resistance, natural resource depletion, and injustice, the sixth great extinction," said Davis. "It's my responsibility to infuse sustainability into our campus culture."

Davis's talk will take place on Tuesday, November 7, in Marian University's Hackelmeier Memorial Library Auditorium at 3 p.m. The event is free and open to the public and sponsored by the Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF), as well as the Indianapolis Foundation Library Fund.
