Marian University’s Ancilla College student Shines in competitive U.S. Department of State’s Gilman International Scholarship to study abroad

Congratulations to Marian University Ancilla (MUAC) student Peter Kenney Peter Kenney‘24 as he has been awarded a $3,000 Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship to complete a study or internship abroad and a Follow-On service project.

Kenney is a Culver resident and a Business Information Technology major at MUAC.

“I am very excited about this prestigious award as I look forward to the summer and travel abroad to Austria,” Kenney said.

The highly competitive Gilman Scholarship is an initiative of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and offers scholarships to undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need to pursue academic studies or career-oriented internships abroad. Following his May graduation, Kenney will use his $3,000 scholarship award and head to Austria.
