Marian University’s Fred S. Klipsch Educators College and the Simon Youth Foundation are proud to announce a new educational partnership to provide financial assistance to Simon Youth Foundation educators interested in earning licensure or a graduate degree from the Fred S. Klipsch Educators College.

Through the partnership, the Simon Youth Foundation and Marian University will collaborate to provide Simon Youth Foundation educators with various educational opportunities, most notably in obtaining licensure or a graduate degree in education and teaching.

The Indianapolis-based Simon Youth Foundation, celebrating 25 years of academic innovation, has a long-standing mission of supporting high-quality Alternative Education programs across the United States to help reduce the high school dropout rate and encourage students to pursue higher education. Through 32 Simon Youth Academies in 12 states the Foundation helps thousands of students reach graduation day each year.

Marian University’s Fred S. Klipsch Educators College, which recently earned an A+ rating from the National Council on Teacher Quality, shares this commitment to education and belief that great educators are the life blood to greater opportunities for students.

“We are committed to providing teachers and educators with a transformative education that prepares them for success in the profession,” said Dr. LaTonya Turner, dean of Marian University’s Fred S. Klipsch Educators College. “The Simon Youth Foundation partnership will allow us to extend that commitment to even more teachers and educators across the country.”

The Simon Youth Foundation and Marian University’s Fred S. Klipsch Educators College are both deeply committed to the profession of teaching and to creating more opportunities for teachers and educators to be well trained to impact the lives of their students and communities. This partnership is an exciting step forward in that mission, and both organizations are excited to see the impact it will have on students' and adults' lives for years to come.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Marian University,” said Andrea Neely, President and Chief Executive Officer of Simon Youth Foundation. “Together, we can continue to make a real difference in the lives of young people and our educators because we believe that all youth, no matter their personal circumstances, should have the opportunity to pursue their dreams through education. Our teachers and educators make this dream come true.”
