Marian University Senior selected as an Orr Fellow for exceptional achievement

Trey GibsonMarian University proudly congratulates Trey Gibson '24 on his exceptional achievement in being selected as an Orr Fellow for the Class of 2024. Gibson is one of approximately 80 students offered the Orr Fellowship out of 916 applicants from more than 60 universities. 

Amidst stiff competition, Gibson secured a full-time position at Resultant, an Indianapolis IT Services and Data Analytics company. His journey is a testament to his perseverance, unwavering dedication, and relentless pursuit of excellence.

"I am beyond excited to begin my career as a project coordinator at Resultant, with the added bonus of being Marian's fourth Orr Fellow," Gibson said. I'm looking forward to growing alongside other fellows in Indianapolis and can't wait to recruit future fellows this fall!"

In January 2024, three other Marian University seniors, Linsey Rodas-HernandezBrylee Koontz, and Jenny Rodriguez, were also selected for the highly competitive Orr Fellowship. Koontz will work for The Heritage Group, an Indianapolis construction company, and Rodas-Hernandez and Rodriguez will work at Stitch, an Indianapolis marketing technology company.

"I am delighted for Trey," said Dr. Lori Rumreich, Marian's associate professor of marketing & sales, "With his remarkable abilities and determination, Trey is poised to make a lasting impact within the Orr Fellowship community and beyond."

Orr Fellows have not only excelled in their respective fields but have also become influential leaders in the Indiana economic ecosystem. Many former Fellows have risen to become company leaders or even founders of their own businesses. Some have even returned to Orr as Partner Companies, further enriching the fellowship's network and impact.

Most recently, Gibson and his Marian Byrum School of Business Marketing teammates were recognized for securing an impressive second-place national victory in the esteemed American Marketing Association Case Competition in April 2024.
