Marian University's Fred S. Klipsch Educators College is honored to sponsor this year's Innopower Minority Business Week Black Excellence in Education Award.
Over the past eight years, this prestigious award has celebrated the remarkable contributions of more than 1,000 educators across Indiana, highlighting their dedication and impact in various educational sectors. We are thrilled to continue this tradition of excellence, recognizing educators who inspire and lead with passion and commitment.
“The Innopower Black Excellence in Education Awards, now in it’s 8th year, continues spotlighting outstanding Black educators in Indianapolis. This annual event celebrates innovation, dedication, and transformative educational impact, honoring those who go above and beyond to inspire and empower the next generation. The awards recognize individual achievements and highlights the collective power of Black excellence in shaping the future of education.” Emil Ekiyor, CEO of Innopower Indy
This year, award winners will receive a 25% scholarship towards the Klipsch Educators College's Building Level Administration licensure and Master of Arts in Educational Leadership programs. This is a unique opportunity for students to further their education and enhance their leadership skills. Additionally, students will be invited to Marian's campus for Leadership Day to explore our many graduate programs.
Marian's Director of Recruitment and Strategic Partnerships, Marlon Llewellyn, serves on the education committee for this year's conference, which will be held Thursday, August 29 2024 at the Ivy Tech Culinary Art Center. Llewellyn said, "This collaboration reflects our commitment to advancing educational leadership and supporting the growth of outstanding educators."
