Congratulations to Dr. Robert Dazé, DO ’18, Nathaniel Oommen, OMS-4 ’25, and Krutil Patel, OMS-4 ’25, on the recent publication of their collaborative manuscript, “Interdigital Macerated Plaques.” This article explores a bacterial infection commonly misdiagnosed as athlete’s foot, highlighting the importance of distinguishing between conditions to ensure accurate and effective treatment.

WCOM StudentsOommen remarks, “Collaborating with practicing community physicians is incredibly valuable as medical students, giving us practical insights into diagnosing and treating a wide range of conditions.” Their work was accepted by the Journal of the American Family Physician.

This achievement reflects their dedication and the discoveries they have made. At Marian, collaboration is key to learning from one another and developing into transformational leaders. Dr. Dazé adds, “This collaborative effort sparks academic growth, and as a mentor, I am honored to inspire the next generation of osteopathic physicians.”
